WordPress is the most popular content management system (CMS) for website and blog design. During the first week, you will learn or refresh your knowledge of all the initial steps and the required elements for having a website. Then find out how to build a simple WordPress website or blog. Topics include an introduction to CMS, WordPress installation and setup, page and content creation, administration, themes (selection, purchase, installation, and setup), working with widgets and plugins, and more. Finally, acquire advanced knowledge about WordPress options and features. You will learn how to modify WordPress web pages by hand-coding, learn about simple yet effective search engine optimization (SEO) techniques that improve your website ranking, and much more. After successfully completing the WordPress Certificate you will know how to build a WordPress website or blog, customize your WordPress site by hand-coding HTML, CSS, and PHP, know necessary regular WordPress maintenance, create WordPress website backup, and know how to apply SEO techniques in WordPress. An invitation into the classroom will be emailed to each student the Thursday before the course begins. That invitation will arrive from the email address: teacher@ugotclass.org. Students accept the invitation, and from there they will be able to create a password. Their login will be their email address. Staff at the Full Draw Archery Club will teach you the right way to grip the bow, take aim and let those arrows fly. No need to worry about owning equipment because we've got you covered. By the end of the course, you'll have a good grasp on the sport of archery, how to shoot and, who knows, maybe this is just the beginning of your archery journey! INTERMEDIATE ARCHERYThis intermediate archery course will teach you how to shoot and score various league and competition shots. To be eligible to participate, you must have completed the beginner course or have at least two years of archery shooting experience. TRADITIONAL ARCHERYAttendees will learn the art of shooting Traditional Archery. You will learn to properly fit, draw, aim and shoot a traditional long bow. IMPORTANT NOTES The letters "LH" behind the course number indicates you are signing up for a left handed bow. Youth Maker Monday with Miss SauerYouth EnrichmentThese clay classes are perfect for kids who enjoy building, art-making, and getting a little messy. Participants will design, create, and paint a clay project in 2–3 lessons. Newbies working with clay are more than welcome! Whether they sign up for one or all three, these classes are a fun creative outlet with a sweet project to take home. All finished projects will be picked up from the Albert Lea Community Ed office three days after the final lesson of each class. Clay Bobble-HeadTwo lessons: 11/2, 11/9 Explore the pinch method while you create a cute and silly bobble-head figure. Clay Slab Bowl Two lessons: 11/16, 11/23 Explore the slab method while building a functional clay bowl. These are dishwasher safe!
