ALDT Future Tiger Dancer ClinicYouth EnrichmentJoin the ALDT coaches and dancers for a fun 3-day clinic for students entering grades 5–6 and 7–8! This community education experience gives dancers a glimpse into what it’s like to be part of the ALDT team. Participants will learn kick technique, jazz basics, and choreography while building confidence, teamwork, and performance skills. Dancers will also connect with current team members, experience the energy, commitment, and spirit of being a Tiger Dancer, and receive an official clinic T-shirt to show off their ALDT pride. Albert Lea Dance Team Summer Youth Dance CampYouth EnrichmentCalling all incoming K-5th graders interested in dance! Don’t miss this opportunity to dance with the Albert Lea Tigers Dance Team! In this fun-filled three-day camp, taught by ALDT dancers and supervised by the ALDT Booster Club, participants will warm up, stretch, play games, learn dance techniques and skills, and learn a dance routine to perform at the July 8th Wind Down Wednesday. (WDW details TBD) Each dancer will receive a performance t-shirt, decorative hair tie, daily snack, and nearly five hours of instruction and fun. Dancers should wear comfortable activewear and gym shoes, bring a filled water bottle, and arrive with their hair pulled back and out of their face for every practice. Albert Lea Tigers Coed Soccer CampYouth EnrichmentCoed Soccer Camp Grades 3rd-12th This soccer camp is designed for players of all skill levels who are eager to develop and refine their fundamental soccer abilities in a positive and supportive environment. Participants will have the unique opportunity to receive personalized coaching from the varsity staff at Albert Lea High School. Each day is packed with engaging activities aimed at improving soccer technique, including small-sided games that promote individual participation and deepen the understanding of team strategies. Cross Country CampYouth EnrichmentCross Country Camp for beginners is for runners who would like to learn more about running and the sport of cross country. This camp is led by new Co-Head Cross Country Coaches Autumn Dauer and Aaron Bauers. Topics discussed include: what cross country is, preparation for running, equipment for running, safety, and running basics. Each day, runners will run 1–2 miles. The class will meet rain or shine. Kick-Off Band LessonsYouth EnrichmentStudents entering 6th grade and registered for band are invited to participate in kick-off lessons. During these 30-minute lessons, students will receive instruction on techniques specific to their instrument in small groups. They will learn how to hold the instrument, create sound and begin playing notes. Participating in these lessons allows students to begin the school year with confidence and progress much more quickly in class. Students must have their instrument choice approved by the middle school director to sign up. All students need an instrument that is in good working order and a Sound Innovations Book One for their instrument prior to the start of lessons. Kick-Off Orchestra LessonsYouth EnrichmentStudents entering 6th grade and will be joining orchestra are highly encouraged to participate in kick-off lessons. During these lessons, students will receive instruction on techniques specific to their instrument in small groups. Learn how to hold the instrument, create sound and begin playing notes. These lessons have helped students start the year with confidence and helped the class progress much more quickly. Just imagine, students will be able to begin the school year reading notes, rhythms and playing music! All students need an instrument that is in good working order and "Essential Elements Book 1" for their instrument prior to the start of lessons. Music Mart in Mankato and Rochester or Schmidt Music out of Rochester are recommended for the rent or purchase of these items. Learn to Ski with Bayside Water Ski TeamYouth EnrichmentThis Learn to Water Ski course introduces students to the fundamentals of water skiing while helping intermediate skiers enhance their technique and advance to the next level. Participants will master proper body positioning, deep-water starts, and balance, while more experienced skiers can refine their skills with Bayside’s finest skiers. Emphasis is placed on water and boat safety, communication signals, and equipment use. All on-water sessions are led by certified boat drivers to ensure a safe, professional experience. No experience is required—only a desire to learn, improve, and have fun on the water! Please come wearing a swimsuit and bring a towel. Tiger Pride Youth Football Summer CampYouth EnrichmentTiger Pride Youth Football Camp is open to youth entering grades 3-12. Camp will focus on basic football skills from all positions and making football fun. Each participant will be provided a camp t-shirt and a sports drink/water daily. Each session will end with a game of ultimate football. Following their camp session on Wednesday, athletes will be provided with a meal, courtesy of the Tiger Football Boosters. Staff at the Full Draw Archery Club will teach you the right way to grip the bow, take aim and let those arrows fly. No need to worry about owning equipment because we've got you covered. By the end of the course, you'll have a good grasp on the sport of archery, how to shoot and, who knows, maybe this is just the beginning of your archery journey! INTERMEDIATE ARCHERYThis intermediate archery course will teach you how to shoot and score various league and competition shots. To be eligible to participate, you must have completed the beginner course or have at least two years of archery shooting experience.
