Tai Chi Foundations: Balance, Breath & Movement

Discover the foundations of Tai Chi in this gentle three-session introduction designed for adults who have never taken tai chi or would like a refresher. Learn the essential building blocks of Tai Chi, including posture, breathing, balance, weight shifting, coordination, and mindful movement through simple, modified exercises that can be practiced seated or standing. This class emphasizes repetition and body awareness to build confidence while improving balance, reducing stress, and promoting relaxation. Participants will also be introduced to the principles that prepare them for traditional Yang Style Tai Chi. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a gentle movement practice they can continue at home. Please dress in layers for this class.

I am a licensed acupuncturist with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine and more than 13 years of clinical experience. My background includes traditional East Asian medicine, qigong, meridian-based movement, breathwork, and yoga-informed practices.
I am passionate about making tai chi accessible and approachable for all abilities. Through gentle, low-impact movement, I help participants improve balance, reduce stress, increase body awareness, and support their overall well-being.
