The 5 Phases of an IRA

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) offer valuable tax-deferred growth opportunities, but understanding how and when taxes may impact those assets is an important part of retirement planning. This educational workshop explores the five phases of an IRA: accumulation, opportunity zone, required minimum distributions (RMDs), first death, and second death. Attendees will learn how tax considerations evolve throughout each phase of an IRA and how thoughtful planning may help maximize retirement.

I grew up in southeastern Minnesota and am proud to serve individuals and families throughout the Albert Lea and Rochester areas as a Financial Advisor with Thrivent. I'm passionate about helping people make confident financial decisions through retirement planning, investment strategies, and protection planning.

I believe financial planning should be approachable, easy to understand, and centered around what matters most to each person. My goal is to simplify complex financial topics and provide practical guidance that helps people feel confident about their future.

Outside of work, you'll often find me spending time with my family on our farm outside of St. Charles, hanging out with my nephews, traveling, tackling home improvement projects, or finding any excuse to be outdoors. I look forward to sharing insights and strategies that can help you take the next step toward your financial goals.
